The planned Public Health (Alcohol) Act 2017

Great news! Hopefully it will be enacted before the end of the year. I will have to say fair play to Leo Varadkar, Fine Gael and a lot of others working on this if it is enacted.

Alcohol Bill to be reintroduced after Halloween break - The Irish Times 25/10/17

I like a lot of people could talk about alcohol abuse all night and have spoken of it in several radio interviews I have done and a couple of times on this blog. I am not going to do it much tonight because I could be writing for a long time but one of the local shops near me redesigned the layout of their shop recently. See below. See what they did with the alcohol display? Shameful. The sooner the Public Health (Alcohol) Act comes in the better.

* Is le haghaidh ceantair chónaitheacha ar tháinig mé trasna orthu ó d’uaslódáil mé mo chuir i láthair contae go deireannach ar Slideshare i 2017 é an fillteán Facebook seo. Tá fillteáin aonair agam don ríomhthionscadal seo agam ar Facebook do na contaetha seo ar leanas – Áth Cliath, An Iarmhí, Ros Comáin,Gaillimh, Dún na nGall agus Ciarraí – agus níl ceantair cónaitheacha sna contaetha seo san áireamh sa bhfillteán measctha seo ar Facebook. Tá a lán de na jpeg maidir le “hainmneacha Gaeilge – contaetha eile” san áireamh ar chuir i láthair ar YouTube freisin ar chruthaigh mé ag deireadh 2018/ tús 2019 ar féidir breathnú orthu ar mo sheinnliosta YouTube do mo ríomhthionscadal. Ní mór cuntas a bheith agat le Facebook chun breathnú ar na fillteáin atá cruthaithe agam air.

* This Facebook folder is for residential areas I have come across since I last uploaded my county presentations on Slideshare in 2017. I have individual folders for this e-project on Facebook for the following counties- Dublin, Westmeath, Roscommon, Galway, Cork, Donegal and Kerry- and residential areas in those counties are not included in this Facebook mix folder. A lot of the "Irish names- other counties" jpegs are also included on Youtube presentations I created in late 2018/early 2019 which can be viewed on my Youtube playlist for my e-project. You have to have an account with Facebook to look at the folders I have created on it.

Nótaí / Notes

1) None of the areas listed are single house developments. /  Ní ceantar tí amháin é fiú ceann de na forbairtí seo.

2) The vast majority of the areas listed in Cork are in the county. There aren't many in the city and suburbs. /  Is sa chontae atá an chuid is mó de na forbairtí lán-Ghaeilge i gCorcaigh. Níl mórán sa chathair nó sna bruachbhailte.
